Support and Resitence

Image
Support and resistance is a concept in technical analysis that the movement of the price of a security will tend to stop and reverse at certain predetermined price levels. Support A support level is a price level where the price tends to find support as it is going down. This means the price is more likely to "bounce" off this level rather than break through it. However, once the price has passed this level, by an amount exceeding some noise, it is likely to continue dropping until it finds another support level. Resistance A resistance level is the opposite of a support level. It is where the price tends to find resistance as it is going up. This means the price is more likely to "bounce" off this level rather than break through it. However, once the price has passed this level, by an amount exceeding some noise, it is likely that it will continue rising until it finds another resistance level. Reactive vs Proactive support and resistance Most Traders will be awar...

Trend Line

Image
Trend line (technical analysis) A trend line is formed when you can draw a diagonal line between two or more price pivot points. They are commonly used to judge entry and exit investment timing when trading securities. It can also be referred to a dutch line as it was first used in Holland  A trend line is a bounding line for the price movement of a security. A support trend line is formed when a securities price decreases and then rebounds at a pivot point that aligns with at least two previous support pivot points. Similarly a resistance trend line is formed when a securities price increases and then rebounds at a pivot point that aligns with at least two previous resistance pivot points. The following chart provides an example of support and resistance trend lines: Trend lines are a simple and widely used technical analysis approach to judging entry and exit investment timing. To establish a trend line historical data, typically presented in the format of a chart such as t...

XAUUSD IS POSSIBLY BEARISH (INTRADAY) Technical analysis The RSI is below level 50 and headed upwards. The Stochastics is below level 50. Most likely scenario  –  SELL Target prices: 1,810.72   1,806.67 Alternative scenario  –  BUY Target prices: 1,817.03     1,822.01 Key levels Support          1,810.72   1,806.67 Resistance      1,817.03     1,822.01
Chart pattern  A chart pattern is a pattern that is formed within a chart when prices are graphed. In stock and commodity markets trading, chart pattern studies play a large role during technical analysis. When data is plotted there is usually a pattern which naturally occurs and repeats over a period of time. Chart patterns are used as either reversal or continuation signals.  Some people claim that by recognizing chart patterns they are able to predict future stock prices and profit by this prediction; other people respond by quoting "past performance is no guarantee of future results" and argue that chart patterns are merely illusions created by people's subconscious. Certain theories of economics hold that if there were a way to predict future stock prices and profit by it then when enough people used these techniques they would become ineffective and cease to be profitable. On the other hand, if you can predict what other people will predict the market to do then th...

PIVOT POINT Formula

Pivot point theory: This is an effective intraday trading formula. It anticipates the movement of a stock based on its performance on the previous day. A rundown of the previous day’s trading data of a stock will give us inputs like intraday high (H), intraday low (L), and closing price (C). We need to add them up as: H + L + C = X Now, the derived value must be divided by 3: X/3 = P (which is called the pivot point) Then, multiply P with 2: X/3 X 2 = Y It is assumed that a stock moving above the pivot point is likely to continue its journey till the first resistance level. In some cases, it will move to the next resistance level. Likewise, a stock trading below the pivot point is likely to drift lower to the first support level and continue to the second support level. First resistance level (R1) = Y – L Second resistance level (R2) = P + (H – L) Similarly, we can also calculate the support levels as: First support level (S1) = Y – H Second support level (S2) = P – (H – L)

Different Type of Intraday trading

Momentum Trading Strategy Market trading needs one to invest in the right direction and at the right momentum, and it is all about Momentum trading strategy. Investors pick the right stock before making a significant change in the market trends and investing accordingly. The choosing of stock is facilitated by news reports related to the stocks that can make the graph go either upwards or downwards. An intraday trader's role is to study such news before the market is available for the investment and then trade accordingly. An intraday trader needs to remember the data will either go upwards or go downwards depending on the external factors, and a quick decision is to be made in the form of investment. Based on the market direction's speed, investors can hold the security for minutes, hours, or the entire day. Momentum trading strategy is great but requires speed in investments as soon as the news breaks out. Besides, how long the securities are held is completely based on the...

Intraday Trading Strategies for New Trader's

  1.   CHOOSE LIQUID STOCKS What would happen if you wish to sell your stocks but there are no buyers in the market? As you know by now, intraday trading involves buying and selling a set of shares on the same day before market closing, i.e., squaring off open positions. However, for the stock-exchange to execute these orders, there must be enough liquidity in the market. Thus the first tip of the free intraday tips for today is to avoid small-cap and mid-cap stocks that may not be liquid enough. Otherwise, there is a high probability that your squaring off order may not get executed, forcing you to take delivery in-stead. Liquidity is the most important criteria you must check before selecting a particular stock to trade in. Stocks with high liquidity trade at huge volumes which allows intraday traders to buy or sell larger quantities at ease Further, avoid investing all your trading money in a single stock. Experts recommend diversifying your intraday positions across a hand...
